What You'll Do
- Develop new commercial banking relationships through proactive business development and networking.
- Structure, analyze, and manage commercial lending opportunities from application through closing.
- Build profitable client relationships by delivering lending and deposit solutions.
- Grow and maintain a high-quality loan portfolio while managing credit risk.
- Partner with internal teams to identify opportunities across banking, private wealth management, treasury management, and other business lines.
- Monitor portfolio performance, relationship profitability, and client satisfaction.
- Represent SmartBank in the communities we serve.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of commercial banking, lending, business development, or relationship management experience.
- Proven success developing new business and managing client relationships.
- Strong credit analysis and financial assessment skills.
- Demonstrated track record of building and growing a high-quality commercial portfolio while maintaining strong credit quality, driving core deposit growth, expanding treasury management relationships, and generating referrals across banking and investment lines of business.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, or related field.
- RMA Credit Risk Certification.
- Graduate School of Banking completion.
- TBA Commercial Lending School completion.
