Global Traffic Head - Refined Copper, Zinc & Lead

About The Role

Responsible for all Traffic activities across multiple locations including customer interaction, process improvement, compliance, strategy development, shipment execution, performance management, people management and budget management within the scope of Refined Metals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the ambitious growth strategy and business evolution of the different product lines
  • To contribute towards improved margins by constantly reviewing our logistical chains for value and reliability
  • Provide expert guidance and advice to company leadership team on all aspects of the supply chain function
  • To follow our core controls and exposures, taking action as necessary
  • To act as liaison and escalation point between departments, regions and products
  • Support the Trading teams in the operational aspects of the trades
  • Plan, implement and control the operations of the supply chain as per contractual terms
  • Assure correct roll out of new products or business flows
  • To participate in Headcount and Budget processes and to operate within approved budgets
  • To drive the performance management and objective settings process within the department
  • To understand IXM systems and to drive the successful roll-out of the new CTRM platform

Education, Skills and Experience

  • 12+ years related experience in the commodities trading industry, with a focus on the Refined Metals sector
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent technical skills including CTRMs, Data Analysis (Excel, Business Objects)
  • Demonstrable experience of process design and improvement
  • Good understanding of Hedging and P&L management within a trading environment
  • Ability to manage complexity
  • Capable of handling confidential and sensitive issues
  • Ability to interact with varying stakeholders from team members, markets, Head of Departments, to Global Heads
  • Ability to diplomatically resolve disputes with external counterparties
  • Conceptual skills: ability to adopt a broad view of an entire concept, analyse and diagnose a problem, and find creative solutions
  • Ability to manage and motivate a large, diverse and global team
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally across regions to manage, support, and develop teams based abroad
  • Bachelor’s degree
