Job Summary

Support the continued growth and development of experienced rowers while also introducing rowing concepts, equipment and technique to novice rowers. Actively recruit student-athletes and attend college-wide events to represent the Crew programs. Assure all equipment; medical paperwork; league compliance forms; practice agendas, game schedules are prepared and completed prior to any form of competition.

Key Outcomes

80 % of Time: Lead, structure and help manage the Crew program to facilitate student athlete development and success.

  • Improve student athletes ability to learn to row.
  • Spend time planning out individualized training and practice schedules
  • Help with practice planning and calendar coordination
  • Ensure the goals developed within the team follow the values embodied by the department and College

20 % of Time: Identify and recruit ideal student athletes to join the Crew Program.

  • Attend various events on campus to engage with potential students who may be interested in joining the crew team.

Reporting Structure

Reports to the Associate Director, Athletics. Works under general supervision.

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least one year of relevant experience
  • Ability to teach rowing skills necessary to be successful

In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is $4,000–$5,000 per season. This range reflects base pay only and does not include other potential compensation or benefits.
