About The Role

Coordinate and analyze domestic and international transportation, FTZ, CTPAT and freight cost activities to support production. Exercise independent judgement in carrier selection, shipment prioritization, cost control, invoice accuracy and compliance documentation. Support for FTZ tariff payments and trade compliance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound/outbound transportation data, carrier selection, routing pick-up numbers, container priority, track/trace and expediting to support production requirements.
  • Administer FTZ, CTPAT, and CBP records, shipment entries in FTZ Precision, weekly FTZ tariff payment support, and audit ready compliance documentation.
  • Analyze freight costs, obtain quotes, audit invoices, create SAP goods receipts, monitor detention/demurrage, and resolve carrier or accounting billing discrepancies.
  • Drive logistics reporting, claims, compliance and process improvements, industry monitoring, records retention and cross-functional Supply Chain backup support.
  • Coordinate MRO shipments, empty container returns, B/L creation, parcel/FedEx/DHL shipping and logistics calls for SMCA.
  • Investigate and file freight claims for damage, lost or delayed inbound/outbound shipments.
  • Monitor carrier performance, port/trail congestion and work disruptions. Recommend mitigation actions to avoid delayed shipments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent in logistics/trade, transportation, import/export or manufacturing.
  • Experience with freight audit, ocean/rail/truck/LTL/parcel coordination.
  • Experience using SAP or similar software.
  • Prefer experience with FTZ administration, CTPAT documentation, CBS/HTS awareness, carrier management, detention/demurrage cost control and/or transportation compliance recordkeeping.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards in close proximity to others.
  • Must be able to bend/stoop and lift up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
  • Frequent interaction with carriers, brokers, suppliers and internal departments.
  • Must be able to walk moderate distances in a warehouse environment.

The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.

Compensation Statement

$36,000 — $65,648 USD
