About The Role
- Huawei's Heisenberg Research Center in Munich is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.
- In the Automotive Engineering Lab (AEL) teams are rapidly growing and focused on advanced automotive technologies in multiple domains.

- Expert - Automated Driving SOTIF Engineering (m/f/d)
- Your mission
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis of AD/ADAS and Active Safety, application of ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 safety analysis methods (e.g. FMEDA, FTA, STPA).
- Develop system safety concept and review of system architecture including identification, definition and specification of safety measures and requirements.
- Interact with system engineering and development teams for designing and reviewing AD/ADAS system safety architectures, including fail-operational, fail-degraded and fail-safe aspects.
- Define and review of system and software level (safety) requirements considering performance, functional safety and SOTIF properties.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, trends, and new best practices to extract and share key insights within the organization impacting Huawei’s ADS solution.
Your areas of expertise
- MSc. or PhD. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent automotive system/software safety engineering experience.
- Profound practical experience in SOTIF engineering, including ISO21448, STPA, residual risk quantification and other state-of-the-art methods.
- Knowledge in automotive safety engineering including ISO26262, functional and technical safety concepts, HAZOP/HARA/FMEA/FTA methods.
- Familiarity with L2/NCAP regulations and requirements, safety challenges and solutions, and applicable safety standards.
- Hands-on attitude and positive engagement to inspire and motivate teammates.
- Professional proficiency in English. German and/or Chinese knowledge are an advantage
- Willing to travel abroad (up to 25% of the time)
