Lease Accounting Intern

The Lease Accounting Intern supports the Lease Accounting team by reviewing lease contracts, extracting and validating lease data, and preparing information for upload into the lease accounting system. The role assists in maintaining accurate lease records through reconciliations between source documentation and system data, while ensuring proper document management and compliance with internal policies. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in lease accounting, data analysis, and financial processes within an international environment.

You will

• Review lease contracts and extract key lease data required for accounting purposes
• Prepare lease data input templates and supporting documentation for upload into the lease accounting system (PowerPlan)
• Validate lease information and perform data quality checks to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Prepare and maintain reconciliations between source lease documentation, input templates, and the lease accounting system
• Support the identification and resolution of discrepancies between lease contracts and system records
• Maintain lease documentation and ensure compliance with document retention and archiving requirements
• Support business locations by responding to queries and providing information related to lease accounting data
• Assist with lease portfolio reviews, data clean-up, and remediation activities.
• Perform other duties and ad hoc analyses as assigned by the supervisor

You have

• Status of a student or graduate willing to gain experience in Accounting Team
• Preferable education in Finance, Accounting, Economics or relevant
• Availability to work at least 30 hours per week
• Fluency in English
• Any additional European language would be an asset (French, Spanish, Italian or German)
• Experience in using Excel
• Basic knowledge of SAP will be an asset
• Attitude of a person with attention to details and analytical thinking
