Overview
In this role, you will play a key part in managing day-to-day financial operations, including reconciliation, accounting tasks, and transaction processing. This role is critical in ensuring both the accuracy of our daily finances and the proactive planning of future operations . By relieving the team of finance workload, you’ll help ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all financial activities.
This is a full-time, remote position requiring 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST). The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the finance team by managing daily accounting and financial tasks.
- Handle reconciliations, debits, credits, and general bookkeeping activities.
- Contribute to the annual and periodic budgeting process, working with management to develop accurate financial forecasts and projections.
- Troubleshoot and resolve financial discrepancies with accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure all financial records are accurate, organized, and up to date.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and support business operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Proven experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Previous leadership or management experience, with the ability to supervise, mentor, and coordinate team members while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership, supervisory, or management experience overseeing accounting, finance, or operations teams.
