Volunteer/Intern: Board Development Coach

About The Role
- Provide training direction, encouragement, and motivation to enhance the Board’s effectiveness and recruitment efforts.
- Plan, organize, and conduct this year’s Development Retreat.
- Explain and present information on the following retreat topics: Board expectations and responsibilities, fundraising, community partnerships, and marketing.
- Plan and direct group activities and discussions for this year’s Development Retreat.
- Instruct individuals or groups on how to be an effective Board member.
- Inform current and potential Board members of goals and strategies the organization plans to implement.
- Provide ideas and suggestions for Board enhancement.
- Maintain knowledge of Board activities.
- Recruit influential and successful individuals for the Board.
- Experience in training individuals and fostering group activities and discussions.
- Excellent presentation skills and an ability to connect with others
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Passion for women’s education and economic opportunities.
- Administration and management knowledge.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 2-4 years in non-profit organization experience.
