Student Union Assistant Manager - VolShop - UTK

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and managing full-time and student employees at the Student Union VolShop and VolSnacks. Key responsibilities include hiring, training, and coaching staff to ensure excellent customer service, product knowledge, and operational efficiency.

This role involves performing store opening and closing procedures, ensuring accurate cashiering practices, and managing staff scheduling. The Assistant Manager serves as the Manager on Duty during weekends, peak shopping periods, athletic events, and whenever the Store Manager is unavailable. The position may require occasional on-campus travel for VolShop events.
