About The Role
[What the role is]
Oversee the administration of the regulatory controls for complementary health products regulatory controls, to ensure protection of the health and safety of consumers while not impeding innovation by the industry.
[What you will be working on]
- Formulate, consult and implement the regulatory controls for complementary health products, including health supplements.
- Establish technical standards relevant to the safety, quality and labelling of complementary health products.
- Lead a team of regulatory scientists in the safety and quality evaluation of complementary health products.
- Lead a team of staff officers in carrying out post-market vigilance and surveillance functions for complementary health products.
- Drive process reviews and the use of digitalisation tools to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of the regulatory functions for complementary health products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to advance the regulatory objectives of regulatory convergence, industry development and consumer protection.
- Oversee the management of enquiries on complementary health products from industry, the public and other stakeholders.
[What we are looking for]
Experience & Knowledge
- Background in pharmacy, life sciences, biomedical sciences or equivalent science-related disciplines
- At least 5 years of experience in technical evaluation and regulatory affairs relating to health supplements.
- At least 3 years of experience in a team management or supervisory role.
- Good knowledge of the local and global health supplements landscape, technical standards and regulatory controls.

- The successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (with option for automatic renewal for a further one year) in the first instance.
