Basic Qualifications

  • 1.
  • High School education or equivalent; Spanish language skills a plus.
  • 2.
  • Excellent people skills and telephone etiquette required.
  • 3.
  • Ability to concentrate in a fast-paced office environment, must be able to multi-task
  • 4.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to complete assigned duties with limited supervision.
  • 5.
  • Must possess the ability to receive directions and follow through in an appropriate manner.
  • 6.
  • Must be able to interface with the public and county employees in a consistent professional manner.
  • 7.
  • Familiar with HIPAA (Health Insurance portability and Accountability Act) rules.
  • 8.
  • Must have working knowledge of Windows, MS Outlook, Word & Excel, typing/data entry skills.

Examples of Job Duties

  • 1.
  • Greet public clients, answer telephone, transfer calls to appropriate individual / take accurate messages.
  • 2.
  • File/work medical charts.
  • 3.
  • Organize STD clinic clients, complete required documentation.
  • 4.
  • Request medical records, copy and mail medical records to outside medical facilities/agencies.
  • 5.
  • Data entry, clerical support, payroll support.
  • 6.
  • Assume any other duties assigned by department head or supervisor.
  • 7.
  • Email Point of Contact & Monthly Dept. Activity Report.
  • 8.
  • Hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
  • $31,342.00 annually
