About The Role
Basic Qualifications
- 1.
- Good communication skills both verbal and non-verbal… and documentation and
- 1a. must work well with all types of individuals.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, related field or equivalent experience required.
- Experience in governmental environment; auditing and/or knowledge of GAAP helpful.
- Strong analytical skills with problem solving capabilities.
- Must have strong organization , time management skills and be capable of handling various duties at one time.
- Self-motivated individual required with ability to complete work with little supervision.
- Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, MS Word, etc.) a must.
- Capable of follow through for completion of tasks timely and accurately.
- Must have a strong work ethic (dependable, punctual, eagerness to learn) and be of good moral character.
Examples of Job Duties
- Performs secondary internal audits for county offices as assigned such as contract compliance, budget transfers, investment audit and
- special project assignments.
- Extracts data from the financial system and prepare ad hoc reports and other administrative assistance to the County Auditor.
- Internal Auditor for Payroll and A/P.
- Reporting as necessary and assigned.
- General office duties including providing assistance to other staff and departments and performs additional tasks as assigned by Auditor.
