The School of Humanities and Social Science is searching for self-motivated, and capable individual to fill the position of Assistant Officer.

Reporting to the Associate Dean of Postgraduate Programs and the Assistant Manager, the appointee will support the Research Postgraduate Team in administering a wide range of postgraduate matters.

Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following

• Provide administrative and operational support for the programs, including course registration-related matters, program admissions, and student-related matters
• Liaise with internal and external parties, maintain accurate databases and records, handle electronic and telephone inquiries
• Performing ad hoc duties as assigned

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree. While relevant administrative or operations experience is an advantage, fresh graduates will be considered.

The ideal candidate should possess a proactive work attitude, the capability to multitask, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), is required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
