Title: Finance Sr. Analyst

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

Position Summary

This role requires a professional who h as developed specialized and/or multi‑disciplinary skills through job‑related training and substantial on‑the‑job experience. The role holder acts as an informal subject‑matter resource for colleagues with less experience. Demonstrates the ability to identify key issues, trends, and patterns from partial or conflicting data.

Key Areas of responsibilities

• Prepare and complete account reconciliation documentation; identify and resolve reconciliation variances.
• Review financial transactions to ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Manage, review, and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial results, including preparation of commentary.
• Ensure timely preparation, recording, and posting of journal entries.
• Lead and manage the company’s B‑BBEE compliance process, ensuring accurate reporting, timely filings, and full adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements, act as the primary point of contact for advisors and verification agencies.
• Handle escalations and complex financial queries effectively.
• Apply advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of advanced financial administration principles.
• Utilize financial systems and data query tools to support analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
• 4–9 years of relevant financial experience.
• Proven experience leading key projects or sub‑processes and collaborating within a team environment.
