About the role

We’re looking for a Founding Front End Software Developer to build out and scale our customer facing platform. You’ll be responsible for building polished, high performance interfaces that communicate our core values, and give developers a clear, seamless path into our product.

You’ll work directly with the founders and product team to ship a UI that is fast, elegant and secure.

What we're looking for

Core Technical Skills

Expertise in modern front-end frameworks, ideally

• React (primary for dashboard views, authenticated UX, data heavy interfaces)
• Strong TypeScript fundamentals across both build systems.

CSS proficiency, including

• Tailwind CSS (primary UI styling system)
• Component level styling patterns (SCSS modules, CSS variables, utility patterns)
• Comfort with pnpm monorepos and workspace based development.
• Understanding of modern build tooling: Vite, Astro’s compiler, bundling/minification.
• Ability to troubleshoot SSR/SSG issues and deploy pipelines in a full end to end workflow.
• Experience building or maintaining early stage design systems or component libraries.
• Strong opinion on how frontend codebases should be organized.
• Some experience with Claude Code / Cursor / GenAI workflows / toolchains.

UI/UX

• Working alongside product designers from prototype to production
• High attention to visual detail: spacing, typography, rhythm, animation polish
• Ability to translate Figma designs into clean, production ready implementation
• Experience building reusable components and layout systems

Full Stack Awareness

• Ability to reason about backend/API design to ensure clean frontend integration.
• Ability to understand complex information models and present them cleanly.
• Experience working with authentication flows and session management.
• Willingness to implement or refine Cloudflare Worker endpoints when helpful.

Other Skills

Able to own features end to end with minimal guidance / advisory.

Great communication skills, and a collaborative mindset with founders, product, design, and engineering.

Comfortable operating in a fast moving, early stage environment.

Nice to have

Experience at an early-stage startup

Background in security, developer tooling, open source and package management

Contributions to Rust, Go, or TypeScript ecosystems

Pay range

See our approximate salary ranges below that represent the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on a multitude of non-discriminatory factors including final role leveling decisions, a candidate’s relevant work experiences/skills, and geographic location. Salary is one component of our total compensation package.

US Range: $180,000 - $200,000 USD

Canadian Range: $170,000 - $210,000 CAD

Candidate location

We are open to candidates who are authorized to work in Canada or the USA for this role. We do not offer Visa Sponsorship at this time. We have a strong preference for candidates who are in PST, and will consider candidates within +/-2 hours of PST who are strongly aligned to the role and our mission.
