CACI is hiring a Systems Administrator at Virginia Beach, VA!
The Network & Computer Systems Administrator provides on-site technical support within a mission-focused Department of Defense environment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting end-user hardware, software, account, peripheral, and connectivity issues while delivering professional and responsive customer service.
The technician will receive day-to-day taskings from the on-site technical lead and work collaboratively with government personnel, fellow contractors, and technical teams to ensure timely resolution of customer issues and support mission readiness.
The successful candidate will be dependable, customer-focused, organized, and capable of independently managing assigned tickets while adapting to changing operational priorities.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier I and Tier II desktop support for government and contractor personnel in a secure enterprise environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, application, network connectivity, and peripheral issues with minimal supervision.
- Diagnose and resolve Windows operating system issues, user profile problems, Microsoft Office application issues, Outlook, web browser, and enterprise software problems.
- Troubleshoot Active Directory user accounts, computer accounts, password resets, group memberships, profile issues, mapped drives, and network resource access.
- Image, configure, deploy, replace, and refresh desktop and laptop computers while ensuring systems meet enterprise security and configuration standards.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain desktop hardware, laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, scanners, and other supported peripherals.
- Transfer user data and verify replacement systems are fully functional before returning them to service.
- Support mission-critical operations, workstation deployments, equipment relocations, technology refreshes, and other operational initiatives.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate technical teams while maintaining ownership through resolution and providing timely customer updates.
- Receive, prioritize, document, and resolve incidents and service requests using the organization's approved ticketing system.
- Maintain detailed and accurate ticket documentation, including troubleshooting steps, customer communications, and final resolution.
- Coordinate effectively with system administrators, network engineers, cybersecurity personnel, customer representatives, and other support teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
- Maintain accountability for assigned equipment, government-furnished property, and IT assets.
- Follow established cybersecurity policies, information assurance requirements, configuration management procedures, and organizational standards.
- Provide professional, courteous, and responsive customer service to users at all organizational levels.
- Perform additional desktop support duties as assigned by the on-site technical lead.
Qualifications Requirements
- Professional certifications SEC+ CE
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Experience providing desktop, help desk, field service, or end-user technical support.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems.
- Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software, printers, peripherals, and network connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with Active Directory user and computer administration.
- Experience working with a ticketing or IT service management system.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting customer expectations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting users within a Department of Defense or federal
government environment.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Office applications.
- Experience imaging and deploying enterprise workstations.
- Familiarity with CAC/PIV authentication and smart card troubleshooting.
- Experience with endpoint management or software deployment tools.
- Experience supporting VIP or executive-level customers.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Professional communication and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Work Environment
- This position is primarily on-site within a secure Department of
- Defense environment. The role may require moving between workspaces,
- transporting computer equipment, working under desks or around office
- furniture, and lifting or carrying desktop support equipment.
- Occasional schedule flexibility may be required to support operational
- or mission requirements.

The proposed salary range for this position is
$75,200-$158,100
