Intern Project
The Intern will lead a project focused on enhancing employee engagement, connection, and workplace culture across the organization. The intern will assess current engagement efforts, research best practices, and develop recommendations for sustainable initiatives that strengthen communication and recognition. Potential projects include designing employee spotlight and recognition programs, exploring the feasibility of an internal social platform or communication hub, creating engaging internal communications, and recommending strategies to foster collaboration and a stronger sense of community among employees.
Intern Project Key Deliverables
The intern will develop a set of sustainable employee engagement resources and recommendations that can be implemented and maintained. Key deliverables include:
- An employee engagement assessment summarizing current practices, employee feedback, and identified opportunities for improvement.
- An employee engagement plan with recommendations for enhancing communication, recognition, and employee connection.
- A proposed employee spotlight and recognition program, including templates and a communication schedule.
- Sample internal communication materials (e.g., newsletters, email campaigns, or intranet content).
- A feasibility assessment and recommendations for an internal employee communication or social platform based on organizational resources.
Qualifications
- Completed at least three years of accredited college/university level coursework in a major of Business Management, Human Resources or Communications
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and task management abilities.
- Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders and audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced remote work environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in internal and external teams with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
Desired Qualifications
- Comfortable using technology and willing to learn new digital tools and platforms.
- Creative thinker with an interest in employee engagement, workplace culture, and internal communications.
- Experience with Canva, or similar design and communication tools is a plus, but not required.
