Specialist, Travel Plan / Source

This position helps make gospel teachings, resources, or services accessible to all in a simple and affordable way, supporting the mission of the Church.

This position provides travel processes, systems and tools product management and technical support for operational functions that span the entire Church Travel office.

40% Management and technical support for existing tools, products and processes as assigned.

30% Plan and manage the implementation of new or modified tools and processes into Travel Services' operations, as assigned.

15% Manage and track travel vendor, tool, and service providers' performance against commitments, as assigned.

10% Identify and evaluate Travel Services partner needs and develop customer/partner service action plan and manage the applicable relationships.

5% Provide support for ROM's (Regional Operations Managers) and Area Travel Offices, as assigned.

BS degree or equivalent supervisory and management experience. Seven years of Travel Industry experience, with at least one year in Church travel office. Minimum of 2 years' experience on the Travel Support Services team. Ability to foster and maintain relationships with travel systems and tools suppliers. Understanding the operations of Travel Services and other partners, and how they measure performance. Proven experience with working in and leading cross-functional and multi-geographic teams. Customer service solutions orientation and an ability to work with and develop relationships with partners. Collaborative, with the ability to 'connect the dots' among partner departments and Travel Services processes and process owners. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing. Good financial, information systems, and analytical skills. Proficient in the use of desktop productivity software, business intelligence software, and standard travel industry systems. Capable of managing, preparing, tracking, and implementing travel tools (systems)
