Our Global Product & Service Team is building a next-generation workflow and approval platform serving nearly 500,000 users and approximately 1,000 internal customers worldwide .

Built on OutSystems Low-Code/No-Code and evolving into an AI-native platform powered by automation, GenAI, and Agentic AI, it supports mission-critical business processes across a global corporation.

This is not a short-term testing assignment. It is a long-term product transformation where quality engineering, intelligent automation, reliability, and customer trust are critical to success.

• Lead and continuously improve the end-to-end Quality Engineering strategy for our global workflow platform.

The role combines approximately

• 70% hands-on quality engineering, automation, and test strategy
• 30% team leadership, coaching, and capability development

• You will collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, architects, DevOps, operations, and global stakeholders to make quality a shared product responsibility.
• 🧠 Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Strategy and Ownership

• Own and improve the end-to-end test and Quality Engineering strategy
• Establish risk-based testing, quality gates, release criteria, and measurable quality standards
• Ensure coverage across functional, API, integration, regression, performance, security, accessibility, and production validation
• Drive shift-left and shift-right quality practices
• Provide evidence-based release readiness and go/no-go recommendations
• Track KPIs including automation coverage, defect leakage, regression duration, test stability, and release confidence

1. Hands-On Automation Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright with Python
• Build reliable automated tests for web applications, APIs, integrations, workflows, and critical business journeys
• Perform manual and exploratory testing where automation is insufficient
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Improve test reusability, reporting, data management, maintainability, and execution speed
• Reduce flaky tests and establish automation coding and review standards

1. Requirements and Product Testability

• Review requirements, designs, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Challenge ambiguity and identify risks, dependencies, edge cases, and negative scenarios early
• Improve testability, traceability, and Definition of Ready with Product Owners and Business Analysts
• Promote quality-by-design rather than testing only at the end of delivery

1. Integration and Non-Functional Quality

• Strengthen testing for APIs, integrations, business rules, permissions, and approval workflows
• Plan and execute performance, load, stress, scalability, resilience, and recovery testing
• Collaborate with Architecture, DevOps, Security, and Operations to ensure global platform reliability

1. AI-Driven Quality Engineering

• Apply AI across requirement analysis, test design, test data, automation, defect analysis, and regression optimization
• Explore Agentic AI for intelligent test generation, execution, monitoring, and continuous learning
• Ensure human review, traceability, security, and governance of AI-generated testing assets
• Measure AI value through improved coverage, productivity, defect detection, and cycle time

1. Team Leadership and Collaboration

• Lead, mentor, and develop up to five QA Engineers
• Build a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing Quality Engineering culture
• Provide technical direction, coaching, feedback, and fair workload allocation
• Develop team capabilities in automation, product knowledge, AI, and Quality Engineering
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, UX, Operations, and Support
• Lead root-cause analysis and ensure systemic preventive action

1. Quality Monitoring and Reporting

• Monitor test execution, defects, automation health, release risks, and production quality
• Build clear dashboards and executive-ready reports
• Convert quality data into concrete insights, actions, ownership, and recommendations

✅ What We Are Looking For

Must Have

• 7+ years of experience in software testing and Quality Engineering, with a strong automation focus
• Experience as a Test Lead, QA Lead, Automation Lead, or Senior Quality Engineer
• Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright with Python
• Proven experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks
• Experience testing enterprise web applications, APIs, integrations, and complex workflows
• Strong knowledge of Agile, CI/CD, risk-based testing, and Quality Engineering practices
• Ability to review requirements, test cases, automation scripts, and release quality
• Experience leading and coaching QA engineers
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, English communication, and documentation skills
• High ownership, reliability, and product-oriented thinking
• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification
