Job Description Summary
Reports to the Physics Department Events Coordinator and will assist with the coordination, publicity, and execution of physics department events (meetings, seminars, luncheons, conferences, etc). Must be able to follow verbal directions and documented event plans to assist supervisor with executing events successfully. Some experience with social media content planning and graphic design programs such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, as well as experience in writing to convey information and for publicizing events.
Preference also given to applicants that can have flexibility in weekly scheduled hours to assist with day and evening events. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Must be able to lift packages up to 20 lbs, set up tables/seating, and frequently traverse campus. Will be trained to use Smartsheets, Canvas, and Asana to assist in event planning.
The majority of work will be in-person, but occasional work-from-home opportunities are possible.

Expected pay: $17 USD per hour
