Purpose

Join a dynamic and collaborative team at Texas Executive Education! The Front Desk Assistant plays an important role in supporting daily office operations and executive education programs while providing excellent customer service to visitors.

This position provides hands-on experience in administrative operations, program support, and a professional office environment, making it an excellent opportunity for students seeking to develop valuable workplace skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front desk reception and customer service support.
  • Assist with executive education program administration, including:
  • Preparing course materials and participant packets
  • Copying, scanning, filing, and organizing documents
  • Data entry and database maintenance
  • General office and administrative support
  • Collaborate with Executive Development Program (EDP) staff and fellow student assistants on a variety of projects and assignments.
  • Support program deliveries, special events, and other departmental initiatives as needed.
  • Assist staff and visitors with general questions and office needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be a University of Texas at Austin student, enrolled for at least 6 credit hours.
  • Work-Study award for the school year
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Hard-working and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Team-oriented and willing to assist others as needed
  • Eager to learn new office procedures, organizational methods, and technology tools
  • Friendly and customer service-focused

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing customer service in a professional office environment
  • Experience with UT systems and applications (e.g., Zoom, Duo, and Microsoft Office)
  • Experience with data entry, administrative support, event coordination, or program support
  • Familiarity with video editing software is a plus

Hourly Rate

  • $15
