About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality & Continuous Improvement Director to provide leadership for quality systems, compliance initiatives, and operational improvement efforts within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for establishing quality standards, driving process improvements, reducing defects, and ensuring products consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who can work effectively with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and executive teams while building a culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Work Environment: Approximately 70% office-based and 30% manufacturing floor involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Develop quality goals, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 , customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Manage internal and external audits, corrective actions, document control, and change management.
  • Establish quality standards for sheet metal fabrication, busbar fabrication, machining, welding, and mechanical assembly .
  • Reduce defects, scrap, rework, and customer quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Implement quality reporting and performance dashboards.
  • Partner with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to improve production quality and process capability.
  • Support customer audits, supplier quality programs, and supplier corrective actions.
  • Develop and mentor quality personnel while promoting a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
  • Monitor key quality metrics, including customer complaints, warranty claims, audit results, scrap, and rework costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading Quality Management Systems, compliance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 , root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electrical equipment, power distribution equipment, switchgear, control panels, industrial equipment, or similar manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, busbar fabrication, welding, machining, mechanical assembly, and custom manufacturing processes.
  • Experience supporting engineer-to-order (ETO) or configure-to-order manufacturing.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma , ASQ , or related quality certifications.
  • Experience supporting data center, utility, industrial, or mission-critical infrastructure products.
