Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: Starting at $22.00/hour (higher pay available based on experience)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Fabrication Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will fabricate and assemble a variety of miscellaneous metal products, including railings, stair systems, ladders, and other custom steel components.

The ideal candidate has strong fabrication skills, can interpret blueprints accurately, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment where priorities may change throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble railings, stairs, ladders, and other miscellaneous metal products.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, job tickets, and specifications.
  • Perform layout, cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing of metal components.
  • Operate fabrication equipment, including saws, shears, press brakes, and welding machines.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and specification compliance.
  • Maintain production schedules while producing quality workmanship.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete projects efficiently.
  • Identify fabrication issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Adapt to changing production priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience fabricating miscellaneous metals, rail systems, stairs, or similar structural components.
  • Proficiency in FCAW welding (certifications are a plus).
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience using saws, shears, press brakes, and welding equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Flexible to move between projects and support changing production schedules.

Work Environment

  • Indoor fabrication shop with exposure to dust, welding fumes, paint vapors, noise, moving equipment, and electrical hazards.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, protective footwear, and appropriate work attire.
  • Long pants are required while working on the shop floor.
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.
