About The Role

Job Summary

The OPS Office Assistant assists with the day-to-day organizational operations of the Bower School of Music to fulfill the administrative responsibilities of the department.

Job Description

Typical duties include but not limited to

  • Processing various departmental forms and classroom use charts
  • Creating event programs including junior/senior student recitals and Nisita Series concert programs
  • Assisting with data collection for HEAD's Report for NASM accreditation and organizing of all student files for accreditation purposes
  • Collecting paperwork for Independent Contractor processing
  • Collecting, preparing, and checking reimbursement documents from faculty, students, and the director
  • Collecting and checking travel reimbursement forms for faculty & students
  • Organizing and ordering of all supplies
  • Assisting with ASCAP and copy right organizations program requirements
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the Bower School of Music

Other Duties

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by full time administrative staff and/or the director.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
  • Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Work experience in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner, Cognos, and Gulfline.
