About The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Dental Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at Lumino Taradale .

As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care. This is a hands-on role where you'll work chairside alongside our dentists, assist with sterilisation and infection control, and help maintain the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting clinicians during a variety of dental procedures
  • Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient appointments
  • Ensuring patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation
  • Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilising instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
  • Monitoring sterilisation processes and maintaining compliance records
  • Restocking treatment rooms and clinical supplies
  • Assisting with stock management and monthly ordering
  • Supporting the team to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment

Hours

This is a full-time position . Hours are negotiable, however ideally you will be available to work at least 4 days per week, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday . Flexibility is highly valued.

To be successful in this role, you will bring

  • Previous Dental Assistant experience (1+ years preferred)
  • A strong understanding of infection control and sterilisation procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Experience using dental practice management software, ideally EXACT
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A positive, proactive, and team-focused approach
