About The Role
Lumino Shirley is seeking an experienced and dependable Dental Assistant to join our friendly team on a fixed-term contract , commencing by the end of August 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians in a modern, fast-paced practice, assisting with a wide range of dental procedures while helping to ensure every patient receives exceptional care and a positive experience.
As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice by
- Providing chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures
- Preparing treatment rooms and equipment for patient appointments
- Supporting clinicians to ensure appointments run efficiently
- Maintaining high standards of sterilisation and infection control
- Delivering outstanding patient care and customer service
You'll have the opportunity to assist with a diverse range of treatments, including
- Dental implants
- Crowns and veneers
- Root canal treatments
- Cosmetic dentistry procedures
Hours
This fixed-term position is available on the following days
- Monday: 7:45am – 6:00pm (30-minute lunch break)
- Tuesday: 7:45am – 6:00pm (30-minute lunch break)
- Wednesday: 7:45am – 6:00pm (30-minute lunch break)
- Friday: 7:45am – 4:30pm (30-minute lunch break)
 
To be successful in this role, you will bring
- Previous Dental Assistant experience ( essential )
- A positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude
- The ability to work independently and use initiative when required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and critical-thinking abilities
- The ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care
- Have valid NZ work rights and live locally
