Sterilisation/Dental Assistant

This is a varied role where no two days are the same! As a Sterilisation Assistant / Dental Assistant , you'll play a vital role in supporting both our patients and clinical team, helping to create a positive experience while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

In this role, you'll assist our dentists during a variety of treatments, prepare treatment rooms and equipment, maintain stock levels, and contribute to a calm, organised, and efficient clinical environment. You'll also be responsible for thoroughly cleaning, sterilising, and preparing dental instruments and kits, ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety are maintained at all times.

Working closely with our experienced clinicians, you'll gain valuable insight into the dental industry and have the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the field. We're looking for someone who is reliable, organised, proactive, and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, with a strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

This is a part-time position working 24.25 hours per week

• Monday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
• Tuesday: 7:00am – 12:30pm
• Wednesday: 7:30am – 3:15pm
• Thursday: 12:00pm – 7:00pm

To be successful in this role, you will have

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, Sterilisation Assistant, or in a similar healthcare support role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly, professional, and patient-focused approach
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment
• A strong commitment to infection control and sterilisation standards
• Confidence using computer systems and learning new technology
• Valid New Zealand work rights
