About The Role

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities

General Purpose: In an inpatient setting, remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system. Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care. Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD. Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication.

Full Time (40 hours/week) (4 x 10-hour shifts or 5 x 8-hour shifts) D/E/N

The Holding Area serves patients undergoing a wide range of cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures and is a critical component of providing a seamless patient experience before and after procedures. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, the LPN will provide direct patient care under the direction of a co-assigned Registered Nurse and/or physician while supporting patient throughput, education, and procedural readiness. Primary responsibilities include: Complete pre-procedure telephone calls to review instructions, medications, and patient preparation requirements. Establish intravenous access. Prepare patients for cardiac, electrophysiology, vascular, and structural heart procedures. Assist with patient recovery and monitoring under the direction of the supervising RN, assist with transportation of patients to inpatient units, imaging departments, procedural areas, or discharge locations. Minimum of one year of LPN experience in a Heart Center, cardiac care, procedural area, critical care, or other acute care setting.
