About The Role

About Munich Electrification

Munich Electrification is an innovative company founded with the aim of accelerating the transition to electric and connected mobility. We develop innovative electronic control units for electric vehicles and stationary storage systems for our global customers. Our international team is composed of highly motivated and exceptional engineers. As a small and specialized team we are well-aware of the importance of each individual colleague and support and promote each employee according to their abilities and needs. Our office with adjacent prototype and testing lab is located in the heart of Munich at the Heimeranplatz.

This is what we stand for

  • Technological Leadership: We challenge norms, innovate quickly, and anticipate future needs. We take smart risks and learn from outcomes to stay ahead.
  • Sustainability: We actively drive change for a sustainable future, aware of our impact and inspiring others to build a better world.
  • Team Culture: We believe work should be enjoyable, fostering a spirit of inspiration, celebration, and teamwork across the globe.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: We embrace change, think big, and push limits with passion.

Your Role

Your mission is to orchestrate, optimize, and safeguard the AI and automation landscape of Munich Electrification. Instead of building every tool yourself, you will act as the Chief Architect and Strategic Consultant for Enterprise Automation. You will evaluate cutting-edge AI models, validate the architecture of intelligent workflows built across departments, and define the secure, cost-effective, and scalable frameworks that allow our decentralized teams to innovate safely. Additionally, you will champion AI literacy across the organization and keep a sharp eye on infrastructure and API spend.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI Model & Automation Evaluation: Assess emerging GenAI models, LLMs, and automation platforms for technical fit, security, and data privacy. You serve as the final "Technical Sign-off" before any new AI tool or automated workflow is deployed company-wide.
  • Intelligent Architectural Review: Audit and review advanced scripts, prompt pipelines, and autonomous workflows developed by "Satellite" creators (e.g., in Engineering, Operations, or Finance). You ensure their automation logic is efficient, secure, and seamlessly integrated with our core systems.
  • AI Training & Enablement: Upskill the organization by designing and delivering internal AI workshops, prompt engineering trainings, and automation bootcamps. You empower decentralized teams to build responsibly while maximizing the company's return on technology investments.
  • Financial Oversight & Cost Optimization: Monitor, track, and optimize the company's AI and automation spending (e.g., API consumption, token usage, SaaS licensing). Implement strategies to minimize token waste and prevent run-away cloud or automation costs.
  • AI Governance & Framework Definition: Establish the "Rules of Engagement" for internal AI usage, including prompt engineering standards, data masking protocols, security boundaries for enterprise APIs, and webhooks.
  • Innovation Scouting & Build vs. Buy: Conduct continuous market research on the AI landscape. Run ROI analyses to determine whether a business problem is best solved by a custom internal AI agent or by procuring an enterprise vendor solution.

Your Profile

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business Informatics, or a related technical field with a strong focus on systems architecture or IT management.
  • AI & Automation Literacy: Strong ability to read, audit, and optimize code (Python, JavaScript) used in automations, combined with a solid understanding of how LLMs and API integrations function under the hood.
  • Financial & Systems Assessment: Deep understanding of how autonomous agents, middleware, and SaaS integrations safely connect within an enterprise ecosystem, alongside a sharp eye for FinOps (managing cloud and API token costs).
  • Risk & Bias Awareness: Skilled at evaluating technical debt, data leakage risks, and API rate-limiting constraints. You can predict how a rogue automation today might impact the corporate budget and network tomorrow.
  • Consultative & Educational Communication: Fluent in English (German is a plus). Passionate about teaching, with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into accessible training sessions for non-technical employees, while guiding departmental developers toward secure outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing enterprise automation tools (e.g. Make .com, n8n, LangChain, or custom API integrations).
  • Experience in driving internal training initiatives, tech-talks, or change management for AI adoption.
  • Familiarity with AI compliance, data privacy laws (GDPR regarding AI), and security frameworks (e.g., TISAX or ISO 27001).

Our Offer & Benefits

The chance to be part of a highly innovative, agile, and unique team with prestigious customers in the automotive and battery storage sector. You will gain a deeper knowledge around connected & electric vehicle batteries, battery management and electronics development and strive in an exciting work environment

Benefits (Full-time Employees)

  • Trust-based working hours and hybrid work
  • Adequate and competitive compensation
  • Pension Plan/Bonus
  • Free access to the fitness center right next to us or subsidized EGYM Wellpass
  • Free snacks, coffee, drinks and lunch (freshly cooked by our chef) every day

  • Bike-Leasing via Business Bike
  • Experience various inspiring and fun team events
  • ME-branded clothing
  • Option to "work from anywhere" (6 weeks/year)
