Event Marketing Specialist - 12-Months Contract

Responsibilities

-

Contribute to planning , coordinat ing and execut ing the Bank’s involvement in conferences, trade shows , education sessions and mortgage broker appreciation events .

Assist in managing the annual event calendar , including sporting events .

Visit venues to plan layout of seating, menu, overall design and décor .

Coordinate event logistics – including researching, negotiating and securing event spaces, budget man agement, registration and attendee tracking, arranging presentation and / or marketing materials and promotional items .

Collaborate with internal Creative team to promote and publicize the event through channels such as email and social media .

Foster new and nurture ongoing relationships with external partners including event managers for brokerages and broker associations .

Organize and maintain inventory of event set-up equipment and marketing materials .

Assists with invoice management and reconciliation .

Contribute to the post-mortem evaluation of events to measure success and make optimization recommendations .

Knowledge / Skill Requirements

• -
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in event planning .
• -
• Post-secondary or coll e ge certification in Event Planning , Event Management or related program .
• -
• Advanced kno wledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook , Excel and P owerPoint .
• -
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
• -
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills .
• -
• Good knowledge of event design, flow and logistics.
• -
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment .
• -
• Capacity to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously .
• -
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work well with tight timelines.
• -
• Ability to be onsite for events during the day and some evenings/weekends.
• -
• Must be able to lift as much as 30 lbs., as some event set-up may be required.
