Global Tap Designer

We’re Hiring: Global Designer – Round Tools Taps

Dormer Pramet Product Management is looking for a skilled and motivated Global Designer – Round Tools Taps to join our global team.

This role will report to the Product Director and work closely with key stakeholders across R&D, Production, Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Project Management.

About the role

In this global design role, you will be responsible for developing and designing cutting tool tap standards and specials, ensuring that products meet project requirements, performance standards, safety expectations, and customer needs.

Key responsibilities include

• Driving independent design development for cutting tool taps, including standards and specials.
• Creating detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and product designs using CAD and CAE systems.
• Evaluating product safety, effectiveness, cost, reliability, and fitness for use.
• Collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, quality, project teams, suppliers, and research partners.
• Supporting product data structure, benchmarking, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Providing technical support and feedback to project stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Advanced knowledge of CAD software.
• Knowledge of metal cutting process theory.
• Experience or knowledge of Siemens NX, CAE, and CAM.
• Understanding of management system tools related to quality, environment, and safety is an advantage.
• Advanced English communication skills.
