Pre-Sales Solution Engineer – Microsoft Dynamics Migration

What this Journey Looks Like

We are looking for a Pre-Sales / Solution Engineer to support a fast-track Discovery engagement for a multi-company ERP transformation project. The role will focus on analyzing current systems, understanding business processes, and defining the future solution design for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

The engagement covers a “Clean Start” reimplementation of multiple operating companies moving from legacy ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009/2016 and Sage) to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (cloud).

The project uses an existing Business Central environment from Company 1 as the template for standardization across all entities. No historical transaction data will be migrated; only master data and opening balances will be included.

What You'll Lead and Build

• Lead Discovery activities across multiple business units and ERP systems
• Analyze existing ERP environments (NAV and Sage) and document current-state systems
• Run and facilitate business process workshops with Finance, Operations, Warehouse, and IT stakeholders
• Define future-state processes aligned with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Identify gaps between current systems and standard Business Central functionality
• Use Company 1’s existing Business Central setup as a reference template for replication
• Assess master data scope and opening balance approach for migration
• Identify integration requirements, including warehouse management (Excalibur WMS) and EDI systems
• Produce decision-ready deliverables including:
• Discovery Report
• High-Level Implementation Roadmap
• ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) Estimate

What You Bring to the Table

• Fluent English.
• Experience as a Pre-Sales Solution Engineer or Enterprise Architect .
• Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Experience in ERP migration or reimplementation projects
• Ability to run workshops and gather business requirements from stakeholders
• Experience in system and process analysis across finance, supply chain, and warehouse operations
• Understanding of ERP integrations (APIs, EDI, WMS systems is a plus)
• Experience working in pre-sales, solution design, or enterprise architecture roles
