Chapter 2 is an embedded talent business. We partner with high-growth startups and scale-ups across the US and Europe, embedding senior recruiters directly into their teams — combining recruitment, employer branding, and technology to deliver immediate hires and long-term hiring infrastructure.
Our clients are typically Series A–D companies across SaaS, deep tech, and healthcare who need to scale fast without the overhead of a full internal TA team. We've grown to 160+ people globally in under four years. The US chapter is starting now.
The Opportunity
Chapter 2 has become one of the fastest-growing embedded talent businesses in the world. We've built significant traction in Europe — now we're building the US business properly, and this is the commercial role that opens it.
You'll work directly alongside our US co-founder, owning outbound across the West Coast. That means identifying the right companies, engaging the right buyers, and qualifying the right opportunities. For the right person, this becomes a full 360 role within twelve months — opening and closing your own accounts.
What You'll Own
- West Coast pipeline — identify and engage high-growth startups and scale-ups who need embedded talent solutions, and build the funnel from scratch
- The right buyers — Heads of Talent, Senior Talent Managers, and CPOs at Series A–D companies. You need to know how they think and what makes them move
- Qualified pipeline, not just meetings — every conversation you pass to our co-founder needs to be worth their time
- AI-powered workflow — account research, personalised sequencing at scale, admin automation. You're expected to use AI as a genuine competitive edge, not a talking point
- Market presence — LinkedIn, communities, events. Build Chapter 2's name in the SF startup ecosystem, not just work a list
Who We're Looking For
- You've come out of a sales environment — SDR, BDR, agency, RPO — and you know how to build and work a pipeline. We can teach the recruitment side. We can't teach hunger
- You understand the US startup ecosystem and know how to get in front of Heads of Talent, Senior Talent Managers, and CPOs at Series A–D companies
- You use AI extensively and deliberately — personalised outreach at scale, account intelligence, sequencing automation. Not as a novelty, as a competitive edge
- You're comfortable operating without a playbook. We're building the US business now — ambiguity is the environment, not a temporary state
- You're an exceptional communicator — crisp written outreach, confident on calls, able to articulate a complex value proposition quickly
- You can start within 2–3 weeks and are already based in San Francisco
What Success Looks Like
- Six months in: consistent, qualified pipeline flowing to the co-founder. You know your ICP, your sequencing is dialed in, and you're booking meetings with buyers who weren't on our radar
- Twelve months in: if the appetite is there, you're opening and closing your own accounts. Your OTE is real, not theoretical. You've helped shape how Chapter 2 sells in the US market
Compensation & Location
San Francisco, CA — Hybrid. In-market presence is non-negotiable.
Base: $65,000 - 75,000 | OTE: $180,000+ uncapped
Commission is performance-based and structured to reward the behaviours that matter — pipeline built, opportunities qualified, and revenue generated as you grow into the role. The structure is something we work through together with the right candidate.
