About The Role

Accounts Payable Officer — Own the AP Function for an Iconic Australian Club

The client is one of Sydney's most established member-owned clubs, and its Finance team is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to run the day-to-day AP function end to end — not just process invoices, but genuinely own the process, the systems, and the supplier relationships behind it.

About the Role

You'll be the backbone of the group's Accounts Payable function, keeping payments accurate, on time, and fully compliant while working closely with the Accounts Payable Manager and Offshore Manager. This isn't a narrow data-entry role — you'll manage the full invoice-to-payment cycle, maintain supplier records, reconcile major accounts, and help shape better, more efficient AP processes as the function grows.

What You'll Do

  • Process and pay creditor invoices in line with the Financial Authority Matrix and group policies
  • Run and manage payment runs from end to end
  • Clear the Mediusflow "Incoming" invoice queue daily and maintain the Mediusflow AP system
  • Maintain creditor master data (ABN, banking, contact details) in NetSuite
  • Perform monthly creditor statement reconciliations for major suppliers
  • Respond to AP-related inbox enquiries from internal teams and external suppliers
  • Recommend and help implement process improvements to drive cost efficiency
  • Support future rollout of corporate credit card statement processing

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years' experience in accounts payable within a multi-company or group structure
  • Solid general accounting knowledge and understanding of financial services functions
  • Fast, highly accurate data entry skills and strong spreadsheet proficiency
  • Ability to stay accurate and composed under pressure, with strong communication skills across all levels of an organisation
  • A genuine team player who thrives on collaboration

Nice to Have

  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Experience with Medius, Lightyear, or similar AP-specialty software
  • Strong English communication skills, written and spoken

What's In It For You

  • Full ownership of a group-wide AP function — real scope to shape and improve how it runs, not just execute a checklist
  • Work alongside a supportive Finance leadership team (AP Manager and Offshore Manager)
  • Be part of a values-led organisation built on service, passion, openness, respect, and teamwork
  • Stable, contract-based role with an established, member-owned Australian club

Ready to take ownership of a full AP function and make it your own? Apply now.
