Operations & Compliance Assistant

About The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Operations & Compliance Assistant to support our daily operations and ensure compliance across key business processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, can work independently, and has a strong administrative and compliance background.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties to support daily operations
- Maintain a professional and organized office environment, including vendor coordination
- Welcome and assist Houston office personnel when needed
- Coordinate company events and internal activities
- Support CEO and HR with timekeeping and attendance tracking
- Assist in implementing and maintaining company policies and procedures
- Manage office supplies and coordinate equipment maintenance
- Support client onboarding and maintain ongoing client communication
- Monitor payroll and labor compliance under DBRA regulations
- Prepare, track, and maintain compliance documentation and reports
- Identify and escalate compliance issues promptly
- Assist in weekly, monthly, and quarterly compliance reporting
- Maintain and update DBRA project overview and billing database
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal bilingual communication skills (English & Spanish)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- Previous experience in administrative, operations, or compliance roles is required
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
