About The Role
Job Type: Full Time Job Shift: Days Holiday Rotation: Department: AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTE Position Summary: Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Uses unique knowledge and skills to contribute to perioperative patient outcomes that are defined as observable or measurable physiological, psychosocial and psychological responses to perioperative nursing interventions. Communicates and collaborates with surgeon(s) and the anesthesiologist continuously regarding the patient’s condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Obtains supplies for individual cases, ensures that operating room equipment is available and functioning, and that all appropriate needs of the patient and surgical team are met.
Education Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Experience/Skills Minimum of recent six (6) months of OR RN experience required; two (2) years recent perioperative nursing experience preferred Licenses/Certificates/Credentials Current California Registered Nurse License Current BLS certification for Health Care Providers (AHA certified) Certification in specialty preferred Physical Demands: Per Job Functional Match description Vision Requirements: Ability to adjust vision sufficiently to perform nursing duties Working Conditions: Regularly exposed to the risk of contagious and bloodborne diseases Subject to varying and unpredictable situations Exposure to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, illness) Emergency and crisis situations Subject to irregular hours Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries Occasional exposure to radiation hazards, radioactive substances, anesthetic gasses and Bio-hazardous material #LI-AR2
