About The Role

A Speech/Language Pathologist shall plan, direct and perform Speech/Language Pathology evaluations and care plans individualized to meet the need of each patient. Care plans shall be developed that promote restoration of function, restoration and/or development of language and cognitive skills, education of the patient and their families about rehabilitation principles, restoration and/or development of oral skills and swallowing function and interventions that restore communication skills. Responsibilities include the supervision of Speech/Language Pathology students, and volunteers. Speech/Language Pathologists also participate in scheduling of patient treatments, multidisciplinary care planning and patient education, and team support of other areas of service besides their assigned home department.

Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology required, certification of clinical competency in SLP Minimum Experience: Required Certification: BCLS within 3 months of date of hire Required Licensure: Texas License or temporary license is adequate with permanent license obtained by 6 months after date of hire #LI-AP1
