About The Role
Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, applying x-ray energy, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. Is multi-skilled in the additional area of mammography. Will also perform procedures in Bone Density. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs; Assists practitioner with percutaneous localizations and aspirations of the breast; Optimizes mammography procedures by completing QA-QC protocols Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, applying x-ray energy, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly Multi-skilled in the additional area of mammography Other related duties as assigned
Required Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology Experience: 2 years in diagnostic mammography radiography Certification: ARRT ( R, M), state license if required Preferred Education: Associates degree
