About The Role

Palm Beach Health Network is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to support its Bariatric Surgery program in West Palm Beach. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative surgical team dedicated to helping patients achieve long-term health and wellness through comprehensive bariatric care. The Nurse Practitioner will assist with perioperative and follow-up patient management while supporting continuity of care across the bariatric service line. This PRN opportunity is ideal for a provider seeking scheduling flexibility while remaining involved in a growing surgical specialty program. Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and Tenet nursing policy Ensures that all contact with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner

Education and Experience Includes minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job: Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required Current Florida Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner License Current American Heart Association BLS Certification for Health Care Provider required Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification for Health Care Provider required EMR/EHR experience preferred, NextGen or Athena experience preferred Proficiency in a windows environment with a working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and the Internet is required Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and employees Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a complex, matrix environment #LI-MM5
