You'll step into a well-resourced, academically affiliated environment actively pursuing ACHD Center of Excellence certification, with a robust infrastructure already in place to support your success. Position Highlights Full-time, employed position — available immediately Focus on Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) in a high-volume, established program Flexible work week: 2 clinic days, 1 cath lab day (if eligible), 1 administrative day 4 weeks per year on the cardiology service Dedicated nursing staff of five, including one nurse designated specifically for ACHD patients Cath/EP support staff available for procedural cases Academic appointment through Central Michigan University Teaching and research expected; affiliations with CMU, Michigan State University, and Wayne State University School of Medicine Collaborative team includes ACHD-certified cardiologists, two cardiac surgeons, and interventional and EP cardiologists What We Offer Competitive compensation commensurate with experience Academic appointment and active research/teaching opportunities Malpractice insurance provided Health, dental, and life insurance 401(k) with employer matching Deferred compensation program Relocation assistance Candidate Requirements MD or DO degree required Board certification required Minimum 1 year of advanced fellowship training in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Ability to obtain licensure in the State of Michigan Interest in teaching and research preferred; resident and fellow instruction is expected Why Detroit Detroit is a city in the middle of a genuine renaissance — a place where affordable urban living, serious cultural depth, and a tight-knit professional community combine in ways that larger coastal cities simply can't match.
