About The Role
FULL-TIME DAYS The Dishwasher completes all the required tasks for patient tray cart delivery/pick up and/or pot and pan cleaning as well as departmental sanitation. Other related duties as assigned.
General Functions: Washes pots and pans by hand and by machine according to food safety standards Cleans and sanitizes dishes Collects soiled items from cafeteria/lounges/nursing units Operates, cleans, and sanitizes necessary equipment Sweeps and mops all areas of the department Collects and dispose of trash Transports food to other areas as needed Transports carts to and from other units while respecting hospital property / Utilizes equipment and chemicals safely Monitors, corrects, and logs sanitation control Reports equipment malfunctions/concerns Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively Maintains safe environment Addresses patient population-specific needs
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Able to read, write and understand the English language. PREFERRED EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year of experience REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE : ANSI Accredited Texas Food Handler or ANSI Accredited Food Manager course or Certified Food Manager from the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District #LI-JH5
