We are looking for a Mid-Level Ruby on Rails Engineer who is eager to grow professionally within our dynamic and highly skilled software development team. In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of core backend platforms that support business-critical workflows, collaborating closely with Product, Design, Data, and Operations teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

You will primarily work on backend systems built with Ruby on Rails , while also contributing to frontend features using modern JavaScript frameworks. The ideal candidate enjoys working across the stack, participating in technical discussions, improving application performance, and helping deliver high-quality software through strong engineering practices.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript and modern frontend development practices.
• Experience working with React and TypeScript .
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database design principles.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests using frameworks such as RSpec , Jest , or similar.
• Experience participating in code reviews, collaborative development, and Agile workflows.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
• English communication skills – Minimum B2 level proficiency .

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AWS services , such as ECS and S3.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized development environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience with background job processing frameworks such as GoodJob, Sidekiq, Redis , or similar technologies.
• Experience integrating with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
• Experience optimizing application performance and scalability.
