Position # : 9000896 Union: HSAS Facility: Pinehouse Health Centre City/Town: Pinehouse Lake Department: Primary Care Sites Type: Casual FTE: 0 Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic $39.654 to $48.451 Travel Required: Yes Human Resources Exemption: No Education Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP) Licenses Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic/Advanced Care Paramedic (EMT-P/ACP) Valid Class 4 driver's license Other Education and Training International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS) Current Basic Life Support-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS-CPR) certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS) Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certificate acceptable Community Paramedic endorsement is as asset Knowledge and Abilities Work in unpredictable areas, such as multiple types of tech/emergency equipment Demonstrates ability in verbal and non-verbal communication techniques Possess effective communication skills & ability to relate to all individuals Knowledge of current infection control standards, practices and protocols Knowledge of safe client movement ability and willingness to travel within service delivery area Heavy lifting and often extreme physical exertion will be required Ability to think & act quickly, creatively & strategically Collaborate with internal executive, cross functional teams and external parties Knowledge of proper body mechanics Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care Knowledge of Primary Health Care and Community Paramedicine Knowledge of application and use of safety restraints and postural supports Other Information May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
