Area Buyer

The Area Buyer is responsible for the procurement goods and services for several of Carmeuse production facilities; driving value through supplier selection, negotiations (price, lead-time, terms, etc.), contract documentation, and follow-up. This role plays a key role in inventory optimization. Carmeuse operates in an SAP environment. Area Buyers participate in procedure development and continuous improvement. They play a key role in promoting company policy with respect to proper governance and the general purchasing process. Area Buyers are to be highly integrated with the Operating Management Teams that they support.
