As Seamstress , you will play a key role in maintaining the impeccable presentation of employee uniforms and supporting guest garment care, ensuring all items meet the highest standards of quality and appearance. Through your craftsmanship and attention to detail, you will contribute to the overall guest experience and uphold the refined image of the St. Regis brand. This role is ideal for a skilled and detail‑oriented professional who takes pride in precision, presentation and delivering consistently high standards. Key Responsibilities Repair, alter and mend staff uniforms and guest garments using hand stitching and sewing machines Carry out minor alterations, adjustments and pressing as required Inspect uniforms regularly, identifying damage and removing substandard items from circulation Distribute clean uniforms and maintain accurate tracking of issued and returned items Coordinate repairs with internal departments or external vendors where required Record and manage guest requests for laundry, dry cleaning and garment alterations Maintain organisation and cleanliness of the sewing and uniform areas Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, aligned with brand presentation expectations Support the laundry and housekeeping teams where required Maintain confidentiality of guest and company information Follow all health, safety and company procedures Core Competencies We are seeking a skilled and detail‑focused individual with a passion for quality craftsmanship. You should have: Previous experience as a seamstress or in garment alterations/repairs Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, fabrics and garment construction Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation standards Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast‑paced environment Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks A proactive and reliable approach to work Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Professional presentation aligned with luxury brand standards A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation At The St. Regis London , our Hosts are the heartbeat of our legacy of exceptional service.
