The Senior Admission Nurse is a registered and an Interdisciplinary Team member whose primary responsibility is to present VITAS services and philosophy to patients and families in a manner that results in the admission of appropriate patients. In addition to the primary function as per the current Admission Nurse job description, the Senior Admission Nurse, at the discretion of the Admissions Manager will coach and mentor new and existing Admission Nurses in order to monitor and maintain competencies as related to the admission process.
