We will examine how cancer cells affect distant brain regions and how these changes translate into altered behavior. In addition, the project will explore the roles of different cell types in mediating interactions between neurons and brain tumors. Technical Duties: The Postdoctoral Fellow will lead an independent research project on brain cancer-neuron circuit interactions. Day-to-day responsibilities include: • Performing in vitro and in vivo tumor model experiments. • Conducting rodent stereotactic and survival surgeries. • Using viral vectors for optogenetic manipulation. • Performing fiber photometry and Neuropixels recordings. • Analyzing multimodal datasets. • Preparing manuscripts, presentations, and grant materials. • Mentoring junior lab members and collaborating across teams. • Maintaining compliance with IACUC, biosafety, and institutional requirements.
