Australian Management Accountant | WFH | Day Shift
Platinum Outsourcing is an award winning, Australian owned and managed co sourcing BPO – operating out of both the Philippines and Indonesia. We are a fast growing scale-up, opening our first offices in the Philippines only 4.5 years ago (and growing to 200+ employees in that time).
We have plans to expand to 500+ employees over the next 3 years.

We are seeking a Senior Management Accountant, with a minimum of 5 years experience working within an inventory based business, ideally with a bricks and mortar component.

The Management Accountant is responsible for supporting the finance function through accurate and timely financial reporting, reconciliation, and analysis. The role involves hands-on accounting work, analytical review, and support for the month-end process. The position requires strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
About the role
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Confidently execute month-end processes, including journal posting for: Prepayments, Expense Accruals, Fixed Asset Acquisition and Depreciation,
- Revenue Accruals, etc.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare draft P&Ls with analysis and commentary.
- Assist in development and analysis of quarterly forecasts.
- Support the preparation of monthly management reports and financial statements.
Lease Administration
- Support the maintenance of lease register in accordance with IFRS 16.
- Support the calculation and posting of lease-related journal entries.
- Reconcile lease accounts.
Data Analysis & Investigation
- Analyse variances and trends across key financial metrics.
- Investigate anomalies or unexpected results in financial data.
- Provide ad hoc analysis to support decision-making and operational teams.
Process Improvement
- Contribute to the continual improvement of finance processes, controls, and reporting.
- Assist in the implementation of system or process enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Admin & Support
Support the admin function during busy times by assisting with processing customer & supplier invoices.
About you
- At least 5+ years of experience in Accounting, Management Accounting, and/or Financial Reporting.
- CPA qualification is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of key accounting principles and common processes (ie. Prepayments, accruals, depreciation, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g. MYOB, NetSuite, Xero, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
