Embedded Software & Mechatronics Engineer (m/f/d)

eigenblue · Munich, DE

Quick applyfull-time12 days ago

About The Role

eigenblue – We're building the future of engineering.

A future where engineers build intelligent systems that solve complex problems, and work alongside those systems to bring their solutions into the real world. We solve complex, multidisciplinary engineering problems by combining deep human expertise with AI systems we build ourselves. Our proprietary AI models generate system architectures across software, electronics, mechanics, and applied physics - and our engineers stay in the loop, not as supervisors but as the decisive factor to bring those architectures into the real world.

As Embedded Software & Mechatronics Engineer (m/f/d) you work on cutting-edge embedded systems and develop firmware in our Industrial IoT projects, creating innovative solutions from hardware-near programming to system integration.

Your Role

  • Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d) in our Industrial IoT projects with engineering teams of 2-5 people
  • Developing and implementing firmware for embedded and mechatronic systems across various industries - from PoCs to production ready
  • Working close to hardware with microcontrollers, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and low-level programming in C, C++
  • Collaborating with electronics and mechanical engineering: bring-up of custom PCBs, integrating sensors and actuators, and testing systems hands-on in our workshop
  • Contributing to hardware-software integration, debugging, and testing in an agile environment with a direct impact on the products and innovations of our customers
  • Growing your expertise by learning new technologies and sharing knowledge within the team

Your Profile

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, Mechanical Engineering or similar disciplines with 1-3 years of experience in firmware development

Strong knowledge of C, C++ programming and hands-on experience with microcontroller platforms (e.g. ARM Cortex, STM32, ESP32, RISC-V); Rust and Python are a plus

Solid understanding of low-level programming, memory management, interrupt handling, and hardware interfaces/communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB)

Good understanding of electronics (reading schematics, basic PCB bring-up) and interest in mechatronic systems - sensors, actuators, motion

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and willingness to dive deep into technical challenges

Team player with strong command of English language (both verbal and written), eager to learn and adapt to new technologies
