In this role, you will play a key part in managing the monthly royalty payment process, including account analysis, reconciliations, and payment execution. Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you will gain valuable experience leading meaningful projects that strengthen your critical thinking, project management, and teamwork skills. Job location: Calgary, Alberta Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts Safety sensitive position: No Application deadline : August 4, 2026 Key Accountabilities: Analyze, manage and reconcile royalty payables accounts with timely response to queries Work with cross functional groups such as Production Accounting, Commercial Operations, Joint Venture Accounting and Legal Assist with various monthly and annual reporting requirements Identify and recommend process improvements Assist with the review and validation of material non-operated annual throughput adjustments Complete other projects as assigned What You Bring to the Role: 0-4 years of related accounting and/or industry experience with a solid foundation in accounting principles, financial analysis, and business concepts Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a detail‑oriented approach to reviewing data and delivering accurate results Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with large data sets and perform basic to intermediate analysis Previous experience or exposure to the oil and gas or mining industry is considered an asset What We Offer: Competitive salary, stock options, company matched stock savings plan, annual bonuses May be eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Policy 100% Employer paid extended Health, Dental and Vision Benefits Health & Wellness Spending Account Multiple volunteer opportunities within the community Employee & Family Assistance Program Access to online learning platforms for continuous learning and development Paid vacation and time off during Christmas week and summer Fridays Check out our COMPENSATION & BENEFITS to learn more about what we have to offer!
